Back and forth between AB and BC, I am a 28 yr old photographer & visual artist.
From a young age art has been a passion of mine, and in 2017 I received my degree in Victoria BC.
Since then I haven't stopped exploring photography, shooting events, and enduring on my own creative outlets such as ceramics + sewing.
I think the reason I prefer shooting film is because of the fascination of "editing" being done within the camera before instead of afterwards like we are used to seeing in modern time. You can achieve this through multi-exposures, filters, expired film, and different experimental self processing/developing techniques. I also enjoy having an aspect of it that is almost un-controllable due to not being able to full see the outcome.
I do have a large appreciation of all realms of photography and the arts. Though I love film- I believe there is a time and place for both it along with digital. I am working on equally utilizing both forms, as well as balancing time to make ceramics and maintaining my personal goals + growth.
